"Field Guide to Jordan", 2nd Edition Release
Amman, Jordan, May 17, 2010: Building on the success of the first edition, the expanded and improved second edition of the "Field Guide to Jordan" has been released. The second edition includes updated subjects, enhanced photographs, new illustrations, and over 45 pages of new content.
The 2nd English edition is now available in most bookshops in Jordan and at fieldguidetojordan.com at the price of JD17.95. The 2nd Arabic edition will be available soon.
About "Field Guide to Jordan"
The "Field Guide to Jordan" is a comprehensive book with beautiful photographs and concise descriptions of Jordan's diverse wonders. This compact book is for locals and visitors alike to identify, learn about, and enjoy:
- Jordan's wildlife habitats, parks and
reserves, canyons, and deserts;
- a large selection of Jordan's
mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, fish, and plants;
- Jordan's rich archaeological

The "Field Guide to Jordan" is the result of four years of dedicated work by a group of mostly Jordanians with the objectives to:

- Raise awareness and appreciation for wildlife
- Highlight human impact and urgency of
environmental issues
The book is written by Jarir Maani.
